I am trying to give umake another shot.
How can I render the outlines in render view too and not only the objects themselves?

Hi @jensgruen ,
Thank you for the question.
Currently, rendering mode supports only surfaces. With that said, there’s a workaround by exporting the same view/slide as a photo with all the outlines and making all the surfaces white, and then in 2D design software you can blend the two together.
Here’s a quick example of how to do that:

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Thx for the reply. Funny enough I did figure this out by dabbling around. It doesc work in the tutorial only when there are no hidden lines bc of the perspective. In my case I had to change all materials to white, then it worked.
It’s a decent enough workaround, but maybe something for the roadmap.
Thanks for the suggestion. You’re correct. I think a shader would work better in this case.
We will try to figure out a workaround/feature for this use case.
Thanks,
Evi
