Orbiting when zoomed in pops you back

an issue i have on a regular basis is the popping of the camera view when zoomed into a detail.

sometime i need to zoom closer and then orbit/rotate around the area to grab another curve, however ive found when im zoomed in and try to orbit it snaps the camera all the way back out of the zoom and i loose where i was.

this seems like a bug. id expect to be able to orbit around when my view is closer to the model.

In this case, have you tried selecting the shape you’re interested in? This will enforce the camera to pivot based on that selected object.

When zooming in we try to limit the amount of zoom-in levels, so you won’t get lost in space.
