Being able to import 2d dwg/dxf drawings as sketches would be a BIG help for the work I do with legacy files.

In the meantime, did you try maybe converting the DWG to SVG and import it into uMake?
DWG/DXF is on our roadmap. We currently can’t commit to a date, but it’s something we want to support this year.
