Apple Pencil unrecognized

Umake is not recognizing apple pencil (not apple pencil pro, but current version apple pencil on an ipad pro 5th gen)
It says apple pencil not detected, but it is showing in my ipad settings as being connected…
…close umake
…quit apple pencil in settings, reboot ipad, reconnect apple pencil, restart umake…and still not detected…
It will “sketch” in umake, but I am not sure my finger has full functionality, or proper functionality without apple pencil being detected.

thanks

Hi @lkoyle,

Thanks for letting us know.

Have you granted uMake Bluetooth permissions? Here’s how to check:

  1. Open your iPad’s Settings app.

  2. Search for “uMake.”

  3. Ensure the Bluetooth toggle is on (green). If it’s already on, try toggling it off and back on.

  4. Close uMake, reopen it, and try switching to Apple Pencil mode again.

Let me know if that resolves the issue!

Thanks,

Evi

Evi,
you were right on the money, Bluetooth was not enabled for Umake. It is working now as it appears in the tutorials, that should help me understand things better.
thanks for your quick response
